Well, I thought I was definitely a could not. Recently, I've been watching videos on Step 1, how to hand draw a shoe.
After watching 16 Tips on How to Draw a Shoe and Proportions are the Key to Sketching Shoes I jumped into some light footwear sketching (my FIRST shoes!!!).
Core77 has a great collection of design tutorials on Youtube, and after watching Digitally Rendering a Shoe from Michael DiTullo, rendering in photoshop seemed so much more doable. So here is my first attempt at rendering in photoshop.
So what did we learn from this exercise? It's worth it to try! And sometimes things take longer than we expected. Sure, I watched a 12 minute tutorial that took me 2.5 hours to attempt, but that's design, baby.
